It would be really, really dope if A Tribe Called Quest fulfill their ‘89 record contract deal and put out one more album. Watching their Beats, Rhyme & Life documentary late last night and having The Low End Theory album on rotation for the past couple of months have me on a emotional high, in a way.
I miss hearing a Q-Tip production with an exchange of lyrics between him and Phife Dawg. But really in all honesty, I just want to hear Phife recking shit on Tip’s beats again. To me he is one of, if not, the most underrated rapper from the 90s era of Hip-Hop. I don’t think there is a rapper who flourish on a song with his/her flow while quietly was spitting some crazy bars like Phife was able to do.
